Challenge

The project presented several challenges, including the client’s desire for a lighting system that not only provided functionality but also enhanced their home’s aesthetic appeal. They requested RGBW lights and presence sensors in all areas to create dynamic lighting scenes that responded automatically to occupancy.

Additionally, the client wanted speakers with back boxes installed in each room for a high-quality audio experience. Integrating these elements into one system, along with the air conditioning units, motorized curtains and blinds, required careful planning to ensure seamless operation.

Solution

Bespoke Lighting Solutions with Presence Sensors: We proposed and installed Loxone spots, Ceiling RGBW lights, RGBW LEDs, and Pendulum Slim Tree fixtures. Presence sensors were strategically placed in each room and bathroom, ensuring that lights turn on automatically when someone enters and off when the room is vacated. This not only enhances convenience but also improves energy efficiency.

Advanced Climate Integration: The Mitsubishi air conditioning units were seamlessly integrated into the Loxone system using an Air-cons control air device. This allowed the client to control the temperature in each room effortlessly, optimizing comfort and energy consumption.

Comprehensive Security Integration: We installed smoke sensors in every area of the home and water sensors in the dry kitchen and laundry area. For access control, we integrated two NFC Touch Codes: one for the grill door with a magnetic lock and another for the wooden door with a NUKI door lock. This setup ensured that the home was not only smart but also secure.

Motorized Blinds and Curtains: Each room was equipped with motorized curtains, and motorized blinds were installed in the master bathroom. These were fully integrated with the Loxone system, allowing the client to control natural light effortlessly, either manually or through pre-set automation.

High-Quality Multiroom Audio: To fulfil the client’s request for a multiroom audio system, we installed speakers in the living room, dining area, dry kitchen, and all four bedrooms. The master bedroom featured a more sophisticated setup, with one ceiling speaker and two wall-mounted speakers connected to the TV, providing an immersive audio experience.

Intuitive Control Solutions: Each room was equipped with a Touch Pure Flex panel, allowing for customized and intuitive control of lights, music, and other smart functions. Touch Nightlight Air switches were installed in all rooms, providing a soft glow that’s perfect for nighttime use. In the Dry kitchen, we installed a Touch Surface switch under the island table, offering a discreet and practical way to control kitchen lights and other functions.

TV Control via IR: In the master bedroom, we integrated an IR Control Air device with the Loxone system to control the TV. This allowed the client to manage the TV’s functions, such as turning it on and off, changing channels, and adjusting volume, directly from the Loxone app or wall-mounted controls.

Our innovative approach of using a single Loxone power supply and backup system to power the entire home underscores our commitment to reliability and efficiency. This setup not only guarantees uninterrupted operation during power outages but also empowers the client with real-time energy monitoring and management. Through this integrated system, we deliver a smart home experience that is both dependable and energy-conscious, ensuring the client enjoys maximum convenience and peace of mind
