Smarter notifications with Mail Generator & Call Generator
Version 16.1 introduces new Mail Generator and Call Generator function blocks. These blocks allow you to automate notifications using variables such as user information, sensor readings and energy consumption. For example, when an electric car finishes charging, the wallbox can send an email summarizing charging time and energy use. This feature simplifies documentation and provides your clients with personalized updates.
PV Production Forecast for proactive energy planning
A standout addition to Config 16.1 is the PV Production Forecast module. It uses weather service data to predict how much your photovoltaic system will generate. By aligning energy production and consumption, homeowners and businesses can store more energy when high output is expected and conserve reserves when low output is forecast.
Other innovations in energy management
This release delivers several improvements for fine‑tuning energy systems:
- Flexible Spot Price Optimizer – New functions can be activated without a complete configuration update, allowing quick responses to changing energy tariffs.
- Faster data from energy meters – The transmission cycle of all Loxone energy meters can now be set to 0.1 seconds, offering rapid feedback for applications such as DC charging stations.
- Energy meters for current transformers – New meters with folding current transformer sets make it possible to measure currents up to 400 A and conductor diameters up to 35 mm. The update also brings efficiencies to Loxone Exosphere, which is especially valuable for large-scale installations. Key benefits include:
- Workspace‑level backups and updates – Automatic backups and updates can now be controlled at the workspace level, reducing manual work.
- Faster dashboard duplication – You can duplicate dashboards and charts and replace data points with just a few clicks.
- Quick addition of Miniservers – Provisioning codes simplify the process of adding new Miniservers to a project.
These features reduce the number of clicks and improve automation, making large deployments more manageable.
Improved Audio Player & performance boost in the App
The Loxone App 16.1 receives a modern redesign and significant performance improvements. The updated Audio Player has a sleek interface and faster loading times. Navigation throughout the app is now up to 30 % faster, which is noticeable on pages with lots of content such as the Category overview, Central control and Energy Flow monitor.
