Hey Siri…
With the latest HomeKit support, you can now control your Loxone smart home with Siri. This means you can change the lighting mood, lower the blinds, or play a favorite playlist using voice commands. You can also create custom shortcuts in the Apple Shortcuts app to automate your smart home tasks.
To start using this feature, your Loxone system needs to be running on Config 12.2.12.1 or higher. If you have “Auto Update” activated, the feature will become available automatically.
Data security measures
Loxone places high importance on data privacy. When you use Siri with Loxone, your data remains secure. Communication happens on the local network, and only an iPad, Apple TV, or HomePod can be used to access your system from outside the network.
For example, if you are away from home and want to control your Loxone system with Siri, your iPhone will communicate with the Home hub in your home through Apple’s secure cloud infrastructure. Once the command is received by the Home hub, it will be sent to the Loxone Miniserver on your local network. This ensures that your data never leaves your home network.
